I remember my first day on campus. En route to my very first morning class, I turned a corner and encountered a giant soapy bubble the size of a car. I felt like I had just entered the Twilight Zone, but I realized later it was a pretty common thing to encounter on the first day. Upper classmen on that particular campus like to mix things up by adding a little dish washing liquid to the fountains. As if freshmen need any added tumult on this very nerve-racking day.
The first day of college might bring a little trauma, but you have to remember it’s all in fun, and it is a day you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Soon you’ll be settled in to your new community and thinking back fondly on your first moments on campus. And you’ll no doubt be plotting your own little pranks to make things interesting for incoming freshmen.
